Remconix - Rico 24S

The Remconix Irrigation Controller (RICO 24S) is a standalone wireless irrigation controller, allowing control of up to 24 zones. It is a powerful and easy to use device, easy to program. In one glance you can see which program is running, which zones are currently operating and the amount of watering time left for each zone.

The RICO 24S also has a receiver on board and in conjunction with a Field Sensor Transmitter (FST) you can easily add a wireless rain sensor. The RICO 24S acts as the base transmitter unit and must be used in conjunction with Remconix Valve Control Units (VCU) for a complete wireless irrigation solution.

Remconix - Irrigation Control Interface (ICI)

The Irrigation Control Interface (ICI) is an addition to a standard irrigation controller. The device offers wireless control of up to 12 zones plus an additional pump start unit. The ICI’s inputs are simply connected to the outputs of the irrigation controller.

The ICI monitors the signal levels and uses radio signaling to communicate changes to Valve Control Units (VCUs) in the field. The VCUs then open or close the appropriate solenoid valve according to the signal received.

Remconix - Irrigation Controller (RICO)

The Remconix Irrigation Controller (RICO) is a wireless irrigation controller, allowing control of either 16 or 48 zones. It is a powerful and easy to use device and is recommended for users with access to a computer on which the RICO16/48 scheduling software is run. Once the schedules are set up on the PC they are downloaded into memory on the RICO and the unit is then capable of running completely in standalone mode without the need of a connection to the PC. While the PC remains connected the screen is updated with feedback information allowing the operator to see at a glance which irrigation programs are running, which zones are currently operating and the amount of watering time left for each zone. The RICO acts as the base transmitter unit and must be used in conjunction with Remconix Valve Control Units and/or Pump Control Units for a complete wireless irrigation solution.

Remconix - Valve Control Unit 4Z and 2Z (4 zone & 2 zone) - IP68

The Valve Control Unit - 4Z and 2Z (4 zone & 2 zone) is a wireless irrigation receiver. It is used in conjunction with a Remconix ICI or RICO transmitter to provide a complete wireless switching system for irrigation valve control. The VCU receives instructions from the transmitter and activates up to 4 D.C. latching solenoids. The VCU-4Z has the same functionality as the VCU Mkii, but is fully IP68 compliant i.e. the unit is completely sealed against ingress of water and dust, so can be placed inside a valve box without fear of damage due to flooding.

Remconix - Tank Level Controller (TLC)

The Tank Level Controller (TLC) uses sensor inputs to monitor the level in a water tank or dam. When the water level changes the TLC sends a radio control signal to the Pump Control Unit (PCU) to switch the pump on or off.

The TLC is normally powered by long-life lithium batteries but can optionally be supplied from an external 12V supply if available.

The unit can be used either with a float switch or with up to 4 different level probes. When operated with multiple probes the TLC is capable of switching a total of 4 pumps – one pump per level probe.

The TLC has a standard BNC antenna connector to which a rubber-duck antenna is fitted as standard. For longer range applications this may be replaced with an external dipole or directional antenna.

Remconix - Pump Control Unit (PCU)

The Pump Control Unit(PCU) is a wireless receiver capable of switching a high current output, typically used to activate a contact breaker circuit to start or stop a pump. It is used in conjunction with a Remconix ICI or RICO transmitter to provide a complete wireless switching system for irrigation valve control. It can also be used with up to 5 Remconix Tank Level Controllers (TLC) to allow remote automatic level control for water tanks or dams.

The PCU receives instructions from the transmitter and activates an internal solid state relay switch in order to control the external equipment.

The PCU can also be manually controlled by pressing the On/Off button on the keypad.
The PCU has a standard BNC antenna connector to which a rubber-duck antenna is fitted as standard. For longer-range applications this may be replaced with an external dipole or directional antenna.

Remconix - Repeater Unit

The Repeater Unit can be used to extend the transmission range of any of the transmitter units in the Remconix range. This includes the Irrigation Control Interface (ICI), the Remconix Irrigation Controller (RICO) and the Tank Level Controller (TLC). It is normally powered from 2 long-life lithium batteries allowing it to be positioned optimally even where there is no mains power available. In situations where mains power is available the unit can be supplied using an external 12V d.c. transformer.

A single repeater can be configured to operate with multiple transmitters, for example it could be used to forward signals from an Irrigation Control Interface and a Tank Level Controller to a Pump Control Unit that is located behind an obstruction. A maximum of 2 repeaters can be used in any one system, and these cannot be daisy-chained together. Also, if using 2 repeaters in one system you must ensure that one repeater has an even numbered serial number and the other is an odd-numbered serial number.

64 Zone ICI

The Irrigation Control Interface (ICI) is an addition to a standard irrigation controller. The device offers wireless control of up to 64 zones that is expandable to 128 zones.
